Purchased in Dec 2010 to warm a medium-sized bedroom.
Pros:
- Very quiet
- Puts out a lot of heat
- Cheaper than heating the whole house
- Manual (not digital) dials
- auto shut-off when tipped over
Con:
- Doesn't automatically shut off after room gets to a certain temp (The digital heaters I've used that automatically shut off tend to malfunction more quickly, including many that have overheated and made the room smell like burnt plastic. If I had to choose, I'd rather put this heater on a timer than have a digital heater malfunction.)
I just purchased a second heater for our other bedroom.

I got this heater for my dorm at school. The room is probably about 15x15 (I'm really not sure but its big enough for four guys) and it definitely makes a difference in the temperature of the room. It can be somewhat weak when you are using it to blow heat directly on you as a fan but i had a really small desk fan i put behind it to generate more air so i don't have that problem really. I would recommend this heater, i like the swivel feature and the whole lack of thermostat isn't a big deal. Put it on high and you are good if its cold. I put 4 stars just because it isn't perfect but it will get the job done. A more expensive heater i didn't have the extra cash for would get 5 stars.

We purchased this heater for our finished basement. We did not want to use the electric heat because of the cost...so this is a great substitute. Obviously, basements are usually chilly. This heater makes the basement TOASTY for all the sports games etc. Just need to remember to turn it off when no one is in the basement! Glad we bought it!
