I purchased this item as a gift for my daughter whose baby is due in January. The first time this item was delivered (via UPS), not only was the box heavily taped up (clearly indicating that this item had been previously opened and repackaged), but parts were missing, and the railing was dented. This was a real disappointment, ruining what should have been a very happy, memorable moment for the parents-to-be. Amazon was contacted and arrangements were made to return the item and for a replacement to be redelivered. The second crib arrived today (this time, via FedEx) and has already been assembled. While we could have lived without the drama and disappointment of the first delivery, we are pleased with the resolution. As for the quality of the product itself...it really is a beautiful crib that we feel will stand the test of time and we love the warm cherry color which will work nicely whether our little Peanut is a boy or a girl.

We just re-ordered this crib. Figured we would give it a second chance. Will update on how this goes...

After ordering the crib I was tracking the package. UPS ended up saying it was delivered, but here's the catch..It wasn't! It was delivered to a logistics company down the road. I talked to both UPS and Amazon and Amazon's customer service rep informed me that it was damaged and was returned to the seller (it must've really had the hell beat out of it). I received a refund for the crib, shipping, and returned shipping costs.
Now after reading some of the other reviews not sure if we're going to re-order this item or not. 7 out of 57 "I hate it" ratings is pretty bad in my view. If so it'll be updated. Difficult to rate an item when you never even see it, hence the more than likely conservative 2 ball.

Solid construction and very very easy to put together...Looks beautiful in Our little girls room...Very happy with this crib...looks more expensive then the actual cost of crib.... Classy looking crib!!
